INFORM YOUR CUSTOMERS ABOUT THE EFFECTS OF THE SUN
Skin care is always an important topic to discuss with your customers, but the bulk of sun damage occurs during the summer. While sun exposure increases vitamin D intake, there’s also the risk of wrinkles, sunspots and overexposure. Encourage your customers to apply sunscreen regularly (don’t forget the feet and hands), to keep hydrated and not scrimp on eye creams and lip protection.

July is International Group B Strep Awareness month, focusing on protecting newborn infants from the life-threatening infection, Group B Strep. (GBS) that can pass from a mother to her baby during delivery. According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), GBS is the leading cause of pneumonia, sepsis and meningitis in newborns. GBS is responsible for approximately 1,200 cases of early-onset GBS disease each year. With GBS screening, prenatal monitoring and antibiotics, up to 86 percent of GBS infections can be prevented. Every pregnancy is different, so always advise your pregnant customers to get GBS testing. Customers who plan on a C-section should talk to their doctor about their personal GBS plan.
This month’s campaign on the screen includes:
• Strep Awareness
• Summer Skin Care
• Healthy Grilling Recipes
• Outdoor exercise activities and tips
