AuBurn Pharmacy would like to thank those individuals from the past that have and are giving so much for us!
Only one holiday honors fallen American veterans, evokes memories of missing loved ones and simply allows us to remember those men and women that gave so much so we can remain FREE. Memorial Day. God Bless

The wearing of poppies is inspired by “In Flanders Fields,” written in 1915 by John McCrae. He saw poppies in burials around Belgium.

In Flanders Fields by John McCrae, May 1915

In Flanders fields the poppies blow Between the crosses, row on row, That mark our place; and in the sky The larks, still bravely singing, fly Scarce heard amid the guns below.  We are the Dead. Short days ago We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow, Loved and were loved, and now we lie In Flanders fields.  Take up our quarrel with the foe: To you from failing hands we throw The torch; be yours to hold it high. If ye break faith with us who die We shall not sleep, though poppies grow In Flanders fields.

Identifying infant hearing loss is a must!
Hearing loss can affect a child’s ability to develop communication, language, and social skills. The earlier children with hearing loss start getting services, the more likely they are to reach their full potential. If you are a parent and you suspect your child has hearing loss, trust your instincts and speak with your child’s doctor. Don’t wait! For more information from the CDC:

Happy Mother’s Day! All your children are looking for in their lives is one precious word from you, a treasure, a word of reassurance, a word of forgiveness, a word of reconciliation. It's not perfection, but peace of mind they seek: not perpetual happiness but basic contentment: it's not a life of constant excitement, but of dependable satisfaction, so do not look past the richness of their so-called "ordinary moments" in search of happiness, just embrace the day and be happy! Happy Mother's Day!

Kristin from AuBurn Pharmacy spoke at the Wellsville Elementary School career day. It was for 4th and 5th grade classes. She passed out Healthy Kid Forms, they also made pill bottles filled with either M&Ms or Skittles which was not only a fun treat for them, but they were also used in an exercise that they did. Kristin not only told them what a pharmacist did on a daily basis, she had them pretend to be pharmacists with her, and they checked a prescription together. She even handed out a prize for finding a mistake on a prescription during their time as "pharmacists”. Thats making a difference!
