Brandy from our Parsons location received the Good Citizenship Award. One of the reasons she received the award was because she had taken care of a lady who lived by herself for about 6 months. That's making a difference! Please Honor a Nurse on National Nurses Day May 6th.

Origin of Nurses Day: The roots of International Nurses Day goes back to 1953, when Dorothy Sutherland of the U.S. Department of Health, Education, and Welfare sent a proposal to President Eisenhower to proclaim a "Nurse Day" in October of the following year. The proclamation was not officially made. But, this day was born and eventually gained national recognition on May 6th.

An infant boy whose name and their location is withheld for privacy reasons suffers from Wiskott Aldrich Syndrome and now has hope for a disease-free future following this morning's harvest from Jonathan at KU Med.
